LaunchVT spurs entrepreneurial growth in Vermont

June 30, 2019

LaunchVT recently announced three winners from its 2019 Accelerator Cohort. The Investor’s Award went to StrollRunner, a steerable, hands-free running belt which attaches to most popular jogging strollers. Atmosphoria, the first and only water-based, eco-friendly and non-toxic aerosol that neutralizes odors while using safe, botanical essential oils, won the Epscor Impact Award. Pictal Health, a platform to help organize and visual health stories to increase understanding and communication between patients and doctors, won the Audience’s Choice Award.

Aimed at supporting startup growth in Vermont, LaunchVT has accelerated 51 startups, invested $700k in cash and services and worked with more than 100 community partners and advisors. Previous participant and co-founder of Notabli Jackson Latka shared, “LaunchVT addresses two primary needs of an emerging startup community: access to early capital/resources, and connections with smart and ambitious people.”

With a track record of successful companies like Merrell, Green Mountain Coffee and Dealer.com, it’s no surprise that Vermont is continuing to foster startup growth. In fact, the state has two entrepreneurial campuses opening in the next year: Vermont Innovation Commons and HULA.
