  • Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) VtSBDC helps clients access capital, improve profitability, and build value in their businesses, and provides no-cost, one-on-one, confidential business assistance advising to existing and start-up businesses throughout Vermont.
  • Center for Women & Enterprise Vermont (CWEVT) CWEVT is an educational partner that works with coworking facilities across the state to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs. They offer individual business counseling and courses to help entrepreneurs make the decisions that will yield business success.
  • Vermont Employee Ownership Center (VEOC) The VEOC supports business owners considering an exit to broad-based employee ownership via an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), worker co-op, or similar model. The non-profit offers free pre-feasibility consulting, presents seminars, organizes an annual conference, and maintains a revolving loan fund to support the financing of such deals.

Workforce Development
  • Vermont Training Program (VTP) partners with employers and training providers to train Vermont’s employees for the jobs of tomorrow. VTP provides performance based workforce grants for: pre-employment training, training for new hires and incumbent workers.
  • Vermont Employment Growth Initiative (VEGI) The State of Vermont offers an economic incentive for business recruitment, growth and expansion. The VEGI program provides cash payments to businesses that have been authorized to earn the incentive and who then meet performance requirements. The value of each payment is based on the revenue return generated to the State by prospective qualifying jobs, payroll creation, and capital investments.
